Michael Brimble has been working as a professional artist for over 25 years. He has lived and worked in the UK, Europe, Africa and Australia. Michael has his works in many private collections around the world. Michael has been awarded grants from the Arts Council and Art Trusts to find and document Australian Aboriginal Art in the Kimberley and Northern Territory; to study West African contemporary art and to work with the Cypriot artist Stass Paraskos on the Great Wall of Lemba on the island of Cyprus. As an educator Michael has taught Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Fine Art students and during 2008 he worked as the Artist in Residence at Sherborne School, England. Recently Michael spent three months carving on the beaches in Cyprus and exhibiting the sculpture at Gallery Morfi in Limassol. He is currently carving sandstone near his Shropshire home. |
